HSEQ Manager Position
The company is seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Manager to join their team in Galway. The successful candidate will work closely with the project manager and contracts manager to ensure that health and safety practices are maintained at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with project manager and contracts manager
* Manage, update and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
* Develop all health and safety plans highlighting specific requirements for each project
* Coordinate all health and safety activities on various sites
* Manage and coordinate health and safety officers and advisors
* Ensure regular site visits and inspections are completed
* Record, investigate and implement action plans for accidents and incidents
* Liaise with internal and external auditors
* Prepare and coordinate training for employees
* Attend meetings with senior management
* Chair health and safety meetings
Requirements:
* BSc in Health and Safety or equivalent qualification
* 5+ years experience in the construction industry
* Able to manage a health and safety team
* Excellent communication skills
* In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation
* Pro-active and self-motivated
* Confident in using Microsoft Office
