Job Description

As a Trading Application Support Engineer, you will join an ultra-low latency support team, providing technical and administrative support for all trading, operational, and support systems within the team.
\
You will collaborate with development teams, quantitative traders, and key business stakeholders to ensure scalability, runtime environment, and stability of trading systems.
\
This demanding and highly technical role requires strong technical systems and application knowledge to make critical support decisions under pressure.
\
Responsibilities
\
\
1. Serve as a contact point and collaborate with other infrastructure and software teams to ensure scalability, runtime environment, and stability.
\
2. Remotely manage and monitor server hosts in multiple colocations across Europe.
\
3. Maintain and manage the batch scheduling environment and monitoring systems.
\
4. Manage and prioritise requests from internal IT support functions.
\
5. Diagnose issues and troubleshoot existing application configurations.
\
6. Set up and maintain tools that monitor for alerts and test new system changes.
\
7. Continuously evaluate, improve, and deploy new application versions.
\
8. Manage project work, including hardware refreshes, environment optimisation, software configurations, change management, and release management.

Requirements
\
Excellent IT analytical and troubleshooting skills, with extensive experience tracing problems through log file analysis and understanding application/systems logic.
\
Experience with or supporting a batch scheduling system is an advantage.
\
Experience with application monitoring and analytical tools such as Splunk and Check_mk.
\
A B.S. in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
\
Knowledge of or a desire to develop networked application systems, including exposure to database environments and Windows (2012, 2019).
