About the roleAs the Colleague Experience & Retail Planning Manager, you will lead and coordinate initiatives that enhance the colleague experience and streamline retail planning processes across our stores. Your work will empower Store Teams to consistently deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring operational clarity, supporting capability development, and providing the tools and structures needed for effective retail execution.This role sits at the heart of our store operations, driving alignment between strategic priorities and day-to-day execution. You'll collaborate across functions to design and implement initiatives that improve how our colleagues work, feel, and grow—ultimately shaping a more engaging and productive retail environment.You will be responsible for Design, develop and deliver key propositions in Colleague experience areasBuilds strong, collaborative relationships with store teams, HR, operations, and central functionsProduce and maintain weekly retail dashboards to support visibility of performance and prioritiesSupport Retail Leadership Teams and Half-Year Retail Review meetings with planning and materialsUse the capability planner to ensure retail calls and meetings are scheduled effectively and do not clashCollate and distribute KPI packs and Big 6 reports by proactively engaging stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reportingCoordinate operational training initiatives and manage the process and sign-off through the capability plannerEnsure training plans are aligned with business priorities and store needsPlans and coordinates colleague engagement events, training sessions, and operational reviewsManages logistics, templates, venues, and communications to ensure smooth executionGathers and interprets colleague feedback, engagement scores, and operational data to inform improvementsMaintain Tesco Help and Comms Centre administration, including updating for new initiatives and toolsSet up new stores in relevant systems and ensure operational readinessCommunicate changes to store manager lists and manage area distribution lists in OutlookCollate weekend duty rosters for Retail Weekly and UK-wide listsUpdate hierarchy structures as needed and escalate access issues for resolutionYou will need Stakeholder management/strong network building skillsExcellent communication skills (written & verbal)Ability to tell compelling stories in a simple wayHighly responsive and resilientPlanning and coordinationData and insight handlingChange enablementProgramme ManagementCustomer and Colleague CentricityData management and analytical experienceStore operations experienceMS OfficeWhats in it for you?We offer excellent benefits that help make Tesco a great place to work.
