Role Overview:
Stelfox is looking for a highly skilled and process-oriented
Application Risk Manager
with a strong background in technology risk management within a financial technology environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing application performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and mitigating technology risks through structured assessments and procedural documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage application lifecycle activities, including deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.
* Provide risk support by leveraging procedural documentation to ensure risk deliverables are met.
* Conduct risk assessments, analysis, and implement mitigation techniques across critical applications.
* Ensure applications comply with regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks.
* Maintain strong follow-up mechanisms with support teams to ensure the timely resolution of risk-related issues.
* Track, coordinate, and execute risk-related deliverables, including RISE and Trident initiatives.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and resolve technology risks.
* Drive continuous improvement in application processes and risk controls.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders to report on risk status, mitigation plans, and compliance updates.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in risk management, particularly in technology and application domains.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-oriented mindset.
* Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver under pressure.
* Background in financial technology or similar regulated environments.
* Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks.
* Experience with RISE and Trident risk tracking and execution is a plus.
