SCOPE OF WORK:
* In addition to providing excellent service, the F&B Shift Leader supports the management team by supervising day-to-day operations during assigned shifts, ensuring high standards are met, and leading the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Supervision
* Lead and supervise the F&B team during shifts, ensuring tasks are completed to Trigon Hotel Group standards.
* Delegate responsibilities and provide clear instructions to team members.
* Support new team members through training, coaching, and ongoing guidance.
* Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and escalate issues to management when needed.
* Act as the point of contact in the absence of the F&B Supervisor or Manager.
Operations & Service
* Assist in the general tidiness and cleanliness of the working area and still room.
* Set tables to required lay-up.
* Oversee the setup, service, and closing procedures for all F&B outlets during the shift.
* Ensure smooth running of service, resolving operational issues quickly and effectively.
* Manage daily cash handling, reconcile tills, and ensure accurate reporting at the end of shift.
* Assist with stock control, including ordering, monitoring usage, and reducing wastage.
* Ensure function rooms, bar, and restaurant are prepared in line with bookings and events.
Guest Experience
* Lead by example in delivering friendly, professional, and efficient service.
* Handle guest complaints or issues promptly, professionally, and in line with hotel policy.
* Anticipate guest needs and support the team in upselling and promoting hotel services
Health & Safety
* Ensure team compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and fire safety standards.
* Conduct checks to maintain cleanliness and compliance throughout all F&B areas.
* Report any accidents, hazards, or maintenance issues immediately to management.
General
* Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and briefings.
* Support the F&B Manager in implementing new procedures or standards.
* Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by management.
