Dornan are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead to join our team and oversee the delivery of mechanical packages on a major pharmaceutical project in Cork. Your day to day will include:: In this role, you will take ownership of the commercial delivery of the project from tender validation through to final accounts. You'll work closely with the Project Manager/Director to analyse tender requirements, prepare financial and commercial forecasting, and ensure accurate and timely reporting. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing cash flows, compiling monthly commercial reports, managing client invoicing, and overseeing subcontractor and supplier payments. You will liaise with construction and planning teams on site measures, ensure contractual notices are issued, and help resolve commercial or contractual disputes as they arise. A key part of your role will be maintaining strong, open communication with clients, project teams, subcontractors, and the finance department, ensuring that costs, revenue, and risks are clearly understood and proactively managed throughout the project lifecycle. What we are looking for: We are looking for someone with a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, or a similar discipline. Progression toward chartership or a recognised surveying certification is an advantage. To succeed in this role, you will need solid knowledge of mechanical systems and experience working on pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or similarly complex engineering projects.
