We're seeking a commercially minded, technically capable
Account Manager
to join a growing team within a leading company in the animal health space.
In this field-based role, you'll manage and grow relationships with a broad client base, including independent veterinary practices, corporate groups, and buying groups — across
Southwest and Southeast Ireland
.
You'll be promoting an established portfolio of products, while working closely with the
Technical Services Vet
to support clients with
effective vaccination strategies and herd health solutions
.
Key Responsibilities
Retain and develop customer accounts while driving new business growth
Manage client relationships to maximise product sales across your territory
Build account growth plans, using internal resources for support
Deliver engaging product information and support materials
Maintain accurate customer data and activity records in the CRM system
Engage key stakeholders and support technical or marketing-led visits
Complete all required reporting and documentation in a timely manner
Work towards agreed sales targets and contribute to market analysis
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and field-based projects
Handle customer concerns efficiently and professionally
What We're Looking For
Full clean Irish driving licence and eligibility to work in ROI
Valid passport and willingness to travel within the UK and EU
2–3 years' sales experience in the
animal health
sector, ideally pharmaceuticals
Academic background or experience in
animal science
, with a strong understanding of the
ruminant sector
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM platforms
Based within the SW/SE territory with weekday availability (Mon–Fri)
Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend meetings, conferences, or overnight stays
