Our success is built on innovation, sustainability, and strong partnerships – powered by our dedicated people.Purpose of the RoleThe Crop Protection (Operations) Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of planning and execution of crop protection activities across Keelings Farms in Ireland.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement an integrated pest management (IPM) plan for plant health, pest and disease control.Select and recommend suitable biological agents, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all products used in IPM activities.Maintain, calibrate, and supervise the safe use of application and irrigation equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams.Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock audits, manage reorder points, coordinate ordering and delivery, optimise store layout and safety, and report stock performance.Maintain and secure detailed records of stock movements, purchases, internal placements, consumption, disposal, applications, PPE use, and machinery maintenance.Lead, supervise, and develop a team of crop protection operators and assistants, conducting training and fostering a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and excellence.Develop and implement risk management strategies and support the business unit in integrated risk management processes.Drive research and innovation initiatives, identify and deliver research activities, adapt new technologies, and collaborate with farm management teams to enhance operations.Implement effective spray programs, balance pest control with environmental sustainability, ensure regulatory compliance, collaborate with stakeholders, manage costs, and mitigate risks across all farm activities.Skills & KnowledgeProficiency with Excel and strong numeracy skills.Attention to detail and excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.Fluency in English.Certificate in Chemical Compliance.Experience managing spraying operations.Full clean driving licence.Education & QualificationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.BenefitsStaff discount at Keelings Farm Shop and subsidised canteen.Free on‑site parking with access to electric chargers.Wellness initiatives such as wellness week.ValuesPeople MatterTeamworkIntegrityPassion for AchievementInclusion & Diversity StatementWe value all perspectives and knowledge that our colleagues bring to our business.
