Overview
Associate Director - Water MEICA Lead at AECOM. Support the delivery of Uisce Éireann's infrastructure investment and operating costs, with work across Dublin, Belfast, Cork, or Galway. Projects range from small rural sites to multi-million-pound schemes in water and wastewater, delivered under the CRU regulatory framework 2025-2029.

Responsibilities
* Expertise: Lead the development and integration of all MEICA design elements from concept through detailed design, ensuring coordination with civil and process engineering and alignment with client specifications, regulatory standards, and operational requirements.
* Lead: Forecast technical knowledge and resource needs to support bids and work winning. Contribute to business development by preparing proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates. Provide strategic input on innovation, sustainability, and energy efficiency in MEICA design.
* Quality: Monitor and manage project delivery within scope, time, cost and quality parameters. Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality systems, risk and financial management, and core values.
* Safeguard: Promote and ensure health & safety compliance and ensure staff competencies for safe execution of duties.
* Grow: Lead and build geographically diverse MEICA teams, including recruitment involvement and, where applicable, line management. Drive staff development, morale, performance and quality with leadership from Regional Operational Leads and MEICA Technical Head.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree (NFQ Level 8) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
* Professional qualification such as Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with relevant institutional membership.
* Extensive water and wastewater industry experience, including process safety familiarity.
* Ability to manage all stages of multi-disciplinary projects from proposals through to outline/detailed design management and construction support until handover to client.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent AECOM with clients.
