Electrical Engineer (Freelance - AIMD/MedTech)Contract: 9‑month initial contract (extension possible)Start: ASAPLocation: Hybrid - minimum 3 days/week on‑site in Clonmel, IrelandEngagement: Freelance/ContractOverviewWe are looking for an Electrical Engineer with strong PCB design experience and a background in Active Implantable Medical Devices (AIMDs).Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain design test files, verification documents, and integration test protocolsConduct PCB layout reviews, minor updates, and controlled documentation changes using AltiumSupport electrical integration testing and design verification activitiesUpdate and maintain electrical design inputs, specifications, and traceability documentationContribute to updates of risk management documentation including Design FMEAWork closely with mechanical, QA/RA, firmware, and systems teamsEnsure all work complies with AIMD standards (ISO 14708, IEC 60601) and ISO 13485Key RequirementsStrong experience with Altium for PCB design and updatesHands‑on experience with PCB layout and developmentBackground in AIMDs (urology implant experience is advantageous)Strong understanding of risk management, design documentation, and Design FMEAAbility to work in a hybrid setup with a minimum of 3 days/week on‑site in Clonmel
