This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Bid Manager, contributing to the growth of our engineering business in Ireland. The successful candidate will have experience in building relationships with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors, and translating their challenges into successful opportunities for business development.
You will take ownership and responsibility for driving day-to-day interactions with stakeholders to deliver bid/tender documentation on time, economically advantageous, and to a standard resulting in successful contract award.
Main Duties:
1. Develop opportunities against which to submit proposals, judging pricing, manpower, area of activity, etc., to ensure our business remains focused, of high quality, and profitable.
2. Consider commercial and proposal activities to maximise profit and enhance our reputation with key clients.
3. Engage with clients on each opportunity to ensure thorough understanding of their current and future needs.
4. Review preliminary bid documents to recommend go/no-go decisions in line with our business strategy.
5. Lead the bidding process for identified engineering opportunities and bids, ensuring all contractual and technical conditions are understood.
6. Develop winning proposals in line with approved bid programmes and budgets.
7. Interpret engineering requirements from clients and lead our response, coordinating resources from international offices.
