Job Description:
Our client is a global leader in vacuum and abatement technology. We are partnering with Edwards Vacuum to offer an exciting opportunity to join their team on a permanent basis.
Edwards is hiring Workshop Technicians to support the assembly, disassembly, and testing of vacuum pumps according to a weekly plan. You will assist and cooperate with team members on Corrective Action Reports as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Use correct PPE and follow health and safety procedures.
* Meet daily production targets regarding quality, volume, and efficiency.
* Collaborate with team members and the Zone Leader to establish priorities and meet customer due dates.
* Inspect parts, assemblies, and systems following work instructions, drawings, schematics, or other technical data.
* Perform daily checks on calibrated tooling before use.
* Conduct leak tests and assist in troubleshooting failures.
* Follow company policies and procedures, completing tasks as assigned.
* Maintain a clean and organized working area according to 6S standards.
* Adhere to quality and time standards, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
* Complete all paperwork accurately as per work instructions.
* Follow additional instructions from the Line Manager.
Key Requirements:
* 2nd/3rd level education, preferably in a mechanical or technical field.
* At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or a technical role.
* Ability to use hand and power tools.
* Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
* Willingness to work in shifts, with flexibility and attention to detail.
