A well-establishedHealthTech SaaS provideris engaging a contractPower BI Engineerto design and deliver a robust analytics and dashboarding capability across its platform.This engagement will focus primarily onPower BI engineering, with the opportunity to contribute todata engineering activitiesas required.Responsibilities:Business Intelligence & ReportingDesign, build, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports .Develop scalable semantic and data models optimised for reporting and performance.Write and optimise DAX expressions and measures.Work with internal stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.Ensure dashboards are performant, intuitive, and aligned with business needs.Support Power BI governance, access control, and best practices.Data Engineering (Secondary Scope)Develop and maintain data pipelines feeding analytics and reporting layers.Write and optimise complex SQL queries.Support data modelling for analytical use cases.Improve data quality, reliability, and documentation.Collaborate with engineering teams on data architecture decisions.Cloud EnvironmentWork within an AWS-hosted data environment .Integrate Power BI with cloud-based data sources.Support scalable and secure data access patterns.Required ExperienceProven experience as a Power BI Engineer / BI Developer in a commercial environment.Power BI (datasets, reports, dashboards)DAXData modelling (star/snowflake schemas)Advanced SQL capabilityExperience working with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred)Comfortable working in a product-led, stakeholder-facing environmentDesirable ExperienceData engineering or analytics engineering background.Experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3, Redshift, or similar.Experience working in SaaS, HealthTech, or regulated industries.Familiarity with BI governance, data security, and role-based access.Contract HighlightsGreenfield and enhancement work on analytics capabilities.High autonomy and influence over BI design decisions.Opportunity to extend and broaden scope into data engineering.Long-term contract potential in a stable, growing product organisation.
