Full -Time Hotel Maintenance Operative With Experience
Knowledge and experience of plumbing, electrics and decorating are highly important to this role, alongside being enthusiastic, motivated and able to work well under pressure. We are looking for someone who prides themselves on a high standard of work and has the ability to prioritise their workload efficiently. Hours of Work: 5 day week shifts between 8-5.30pm or depending on business levels, Saturday shifts would also be required.
* Have a basic knowledge of Plumbing/Carpentry/Wall Tiling/Decorating skills
* Plumbing repairs - Toilets, showers, sinks kitchen equipment.
* Basic Electrics - Changing of spotlights and transformers
* Learn and become knowledgeable with all in house heating, plumbing, tv, electrical, sewage, water systems in the property and maintain relationships with contractors and senior management on maintenance of same
* Painting and basic decoration repairs
* Joinery repairs to furniture and doors
* To rectify any maintenance issues within the hotel on a daily basis
* To liaise with outside contractors to ensure all maintenance issues are rectified
* To ensure an efficient planned prevention maintenance system is in place for all key equipment
* Carry out regular hotel inspections to identify maintenance requirement.
* To ensure all maintenance contracts are up to date and to ensure servicing of equipment takes place as per the agreed contract
* To ensure guests safety by eliminating potential risks and hazards
* Deep cleaning of outside yards and helping in the gardens when necessary
* To ensure all health, safety and fire regulations are adhered to
The Candidate
* At least 3-5 years' experience at Maintenance Assistant level or working in building contracting and or electrical and / or plumbing
* Trade qualification/experience (eg electrical/plumbing) strongly advantageous
* High attention to detail and standard focused
* Ability to prioritize and work on several projects simultaneously
* Excellent people skills
* Strong communication and listening skills.
