Job Role Overview
The role of support staff is to provide assistance in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food service, and patient care within a facility.
This position involves working as part of a team while managing daily tasks independently, providing flexibility by working across departments as required, and assisting with food and meal preparation according to dietary and safety guidelines.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Work effectively as part of a structured team while managing daily tasks independently
* Provide flexibility by working across housekeeping and catering departments as required
* Assist with food and meal preparation in line with dietary and safety guidelines
* Support safe and efficient food distribution to patients
* Follow all HACCP and hospital hygiene standards
* Evaluate designated areas are cleaned to required infection-control standards
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Valid Manual Handling Certificate (training can be provided)
* Valid HACCP Certificate (training can be provided)
* Willingness to complete Garda Vetting and Child First Training
* Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility to work across departments and adapt to changing needs
