Cybersecurity Consultant / Concierge Security Engineer 2 (Cork, Ireland)Arctic Wolf is looking for a Cybersecurity Consultant / Concierge Security Engineer 2 to join our team in Cork, Ireland.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with senior cybersecurity engineers on real‑world client projects.Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact for security incident inquiries reported by the Security Operations Center (SOC), and analyze structural weaknesses with the team.Create technical reports and documentation to support customer environments.Troubleshoot security and technical issues with guidance from the team.Share basic security best practices with non‑technical contacts.Build professional, trust‑based relationships with customers.Analyze logs and events to identify patterns or potential threats.Continuously develop skills through mentoring and hands‑on experience.Profile / Experience2–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT fields.Familiarity with network security, cloud infrastructure, SaaS tools, and identity management.Exposure to risk and vulnerability management.Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English.Analytical mindset and structured problem‑solving approach.Comfortable working in a team and eager to grow professionally.Technical Skills (at least 4 required)Networking basics: Understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, and common network protocols.Operating systems: Basic knowledge of hardening Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.Security tools: Familiarity with firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS systems.Scripting: Basic understanding of Python, Bash, or PowerShell.Vulnerability assessment: Experience using tools such as Nmap, Nessus, or OpenVAS.Incident response: Foundational knowledge of handling security incidents.Security frameworks: Awareness of MITRE ATT&CK and NIST frameworks.Consultancy skills: Ability to explain technical topics clearly to non‑technical stakeholders and document policies and incident reports.Security RequirementsBackground checks are required for this position.
