Our client, a global manufacturing organisation, is seeking a Buyer Planner to join their Supply Chain team in Athlone. This role will focus on production planning, inventory management, material flow, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Permanent Contract| Hybrid 3 days onsite in Athlone
Key Responsibilities
Plan manufactured products to achieve service targets while optimising production scheduling and resource utilisation
Manage material flow, inventory investment, supply risks, and total cost of ownership, including expedite and premium freight costs
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, governance processes, and stakeholder communication
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, optimise inventory, and improve service levels
Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, Operations, Quality, and Global Supply Chain teams
Support effective use of ERP/MRP systems and planning processes
Requirements
Degree qualified with 5+ years’ experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or procurement
Experience with ERP/MRP systems including SAP, Oracle, or ASCP
Strong analytical and reporting skills with advanced Excel capability
Proven experience improving supply chain or planning processes
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
APICS CPIM or relevant supply chain certification
Experience in manufacturing, medical devices, healthcare, or regulated environments
Strong understanding of production planning and end-to-end supply chain operations
