As part of the growing Engineering Team at TLI Group we are hiring an Electrical Engineer to work on newly awarded design projects for transmission and distribution grid connections. The successful candidate will be based in the Cork office and may be required to travel to sites occasionally.
Responsibilities
* Feasibility studies for grid connection options on renewable energy projects (Solar, Battery, Wind, and others)
* On-site investigations, route selection, and site surveys
* Preparation of material specifications & BOQ
* Design report compilation
* Detailed design drawing preparation
* Development of design processes
* Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team on the design of transmission and distribution networks
* Activities from investigation and feasibility studies to design and specification, project management, and technical support to other operational areas
* Assisting in the compilation and assessment of tender submissions
* On-site quality auditing during the build phase
Qualifications and Skills
* Minimum degree qualification in Electrical Engineering (NFQ Level 8)
* 4+ years of relevant industry experience (advantageous)
* Interest in developing a career in the Power Engineering sector
* Strong technical and design ability
* Strong IT skills; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage, training will be provided
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Flexible approach to work and a full drivers’ license required
* Aptitude for formal report writing and professional presentation
