Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Engineer within UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering I-Form, the Research Ireland Centre for Advanced Manufacturing is seeking an experienced researcher to work on a collaborative research project with an I-Form partner ValCUN company based in Belgium.
The aim of the research is to study a novel liquid metal additive manufacturing process, identified as Molten Metal Deposition (MMD), developed and patented by ValCUN that uses wire feedstock, which is transformed into a fully liquid state and deposited through a nozzle onto the part being printed, with a view to process optimisation for part quality with exceptional material properties.
Fixed Salary: €49,396 per annum Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
