Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our production facility in Kildare. The ideal candidate will possess both electrical and mechanical skills and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform planned and reactive maintenance across production and site facilities, ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
2. Install, commission, and troubleshoot plant equipment and wiring, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
3. Carry out electro-mechanical repairs on PLC-controlled equipment, utilizing problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
4. Conduct regular facility checks, meter readings, and resolve discrepancies, maintaining accurate records and reports.
5. Manage on-site contractors, including permits and inductions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Support continuous improvement projects and line performance upgrades, contributing to process enhancements and productivity gains.
7. Ensure adherence to Quality, Health & Safety, and GMP standards, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* A relevant electrical or mechanical qualification (or equivalent work experience as an Electrician/Fitter).
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
* Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with proficiency in PLCs, control systems, and diagnostics.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
