Job Title: Senior Psychologist
This position requires an experienced and skilled Senior Psychologist to provide comprehensive assessments and interventions for individuals referred to the psychology service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing behaviour monitoring procedures, providing specialist contributions to care and management planning, and engaging in evidence-based psychological interventions.
Key responsibilities include assessing and intervening with people who have been referred to the IPS Psychology Service due to various mental health difficulties, offence-specific needs, and developmental disorders.
Interventions may include group and 1:1 therapies, as well as regular contact with community agencies involved in support and resettlement of people leaving custody.
The ideal candidate must hold a postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, possess a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience as a Psychologist, and demonstrate excellent consultation, education, and guidance skills.
Desirable qualifications include further therapeutic or research qualifications, as well as experience in addressing emotional, mental health, and offence-related difficulties with a forensic population.
