Remote Working:
Remote working is allowed, subject to a requirement to work in Head Office (St. Augustine Street, GALWAY) a minimum of 2 days per week, of which one day must be Thursday.
Primary Objectives of Position:
* Support the Company's Product Oversight & Governance requirements.
* Support the monitoring and maintenance of our range of policyholder funds and provide related support to the Policyholder Investment Oversight Working Group.
* Support the Propositions team in all aspects of product pricing, design and development.
* Development and maintenance of product literature.
* Participate in product development projects as required. In particular, support the Head of Product Development in the maintenance of our product range on IT systems.
* Support the business in operations team and sales team support including handling of product technical queries and quotation support via the Actuarial Helpdesk.
* Provide support to Propositions team in providing management information in terms of market research, competitor monitoring and book analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
* 5-10 professional actuarial exams passed.
* At least 2 years' experience in a life assurance or pensions role. Experience in a product or pricing role is an advantage as is experience in business analysis or project management.
* Good commercial knowledge of products available in the Irish Life and Pensions market.
* Proven strong analytical and mathematical ability with excellent attention to detail.
* Strong computing skills (e.g. Excel, VBA, R, Python).
* Ability to identify and problem-solve issues.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and writing) skills with the ability to communicate complex matters simply and succinctly.
* Ability to use own initiative & accept a reasonable level of responsibility.
* Adaptability and flexibility.
