Civil Engineering Project Manager Job
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of civil engineering projects within the ESB sector, top-tier public realm and infrastructure projects across the midlands.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, project management techniques, and industry standards. They will be responsible for managing civil projects from start to finish, setting out works, reviewing drawings and specifications, testing materials, conducting quality reviews, and preparing technical method statements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage civil projects from start to finish.
* Set out works and ensure foremen and operatives understand project information.
* Review drawings, specifications, and other documents to inform project decisions.
* Test materials in accordance with relevant specifications.
* Conduct quality reviews on site regarding rebar, concrete placement, inspection test plans, and utility installations.
* Review technical submissions prior to upload to design team.
* Direct subcontractors as needed.
* Prepare technical method statements.
* Coordinate traffic management on site.
* Record daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in a site diary.
* Pursue professional development and training.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years experience in civil engineering project management.
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related field desirable.
* Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, ICE) advantageous.
* Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, project management techniques, and ESB industry standards.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
* Proven experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
