Head of Communications Role

Brightwater Capital, LLC is looking for a Head of Communications to lead a strategic function that protects and enhances reputation, builds public trust, and supports delivery of national-scale initiatives in south Dublin city centre.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Communications Director, you will develop and execute an integrated communications strategy across external relations, media, brand, social, and internal communications. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and creative thinking to support a high-impact, purpose-led organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a Strategic Communications Plan: Covering PR, public affairs, social media, brand, and internal comms, based on insights from the organisation's mission and goals.
* Manage External Communications: Ensure consistent and aligned messaging through day-to-day media relations, crisis communications, and issue management.
* Build Strong Relationships: Engage with media, stakeholders, and internal teams to support business and reputational objectives, driving positive change through clear, consistent messaging.
* Lead Marketing Communications: Enhance brand relevance and audience engagement through strategic marketing campaigns and events.
* Oversee Agency Partners: Ensure quality outputs and strong performance from external partners supporting the communications team.
* Implement Internal Communications: Drive employee engagement and alignment through targeted internal communications initiatives.
* Plan and Execute Media Campaigns: Measure effectiveness and impact of media efforts, ensuring a strong return on investment.
* Manage Communications Budgets: Contribute to team leadership and ensure effective use of resources.
The ideal candidate is a senior communications leader with 10+ years of experience in developing and executing integrated communications strategies, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and driving positive change through clear, consistent messaging.
Requirements:
* Senior Communications Experience: A proven track record of success in senior communications roles, with expertise across media relations, issues management, internal and external comms, digital, and brand.
* Complex Stakeholder Engagement: Experience engaging with diverse stakeholder groups across public and private sectors, including media, government, NGOs, and community organisations.
* Social/Digital Media Strategy: Strong capabilities in social/digital media and content strategy, with a focus on building online presence and engagement.
* Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear, concise messaging.
* Crisis Communications Experience: Proven experience in crisis and incident communications, with a focus on protecting reputation and building trust.
* Relevant Education: A relevant degree (e.g. Communications, PR, Marketing) or equivalent experience, with PRII membership a plus.
