The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages in accordance with the St. Helen's hotel's luxury standards. This role requires exceptional product knowledge, refined service skills, and the ability to create memorable guest experiences. The Bartender ensures efficient bar operations, maintains cleanliness, and upholds the brand's commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Beverage Preparation
* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following established recipes and presentation standards.
* Provide personalized, attentive, and professional service to all guests.
* Recommend drinks, pairings, and signature cocktails based on guest preferences.
* Engage with guests in a polished and courteous manner to enhance their overall experience.
Operational Duties
* Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area at all times.
* Ensure compliance with all hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
* Accurately process orders, handle payments, and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
* Assist in inventory control, including stock rotation, requisitions, and waste management.
* Inspect bar equipment regularly and promptly report any maintenance needs.
Brand Standards & Professionalism
* Uphold the St. Helen's hotel's luxury service standards and corporate values.
* Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with grooming guidelines.
* Attend required trainings, briefings, and meetings.
* Collaborate with colleagues and support other Food & Beverage operations when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
* Bartending experience in a luxury hotel or high-end bar environment desirable.
* Formal training in mixology or beverage service is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, cocktails, and bar techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, upscale environment.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Working Conditions
* Variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
