Our client with a growing presence across Ireland is seeking to recruit for an assistant store manager for their successful store in Kildare. Known for their wide array of home, household and lifestyle products, this is a great opportunity for an experienced retail manager who thrives on fast paced retail environments
As an Assistant Manager, you will work alongside the Store Manager to deliver operational excellence, drive sales, and lead a high-performing team. You will play a critical role in shaping the customer experience, maintaining high standards on the shop floor, and creating a motivating and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store
2. Inspire, mentor, and guide the team to consistently deliver excellent customer service
3. Drive strong operational performance through attention to detail and daily routines
4. Assist with stock control, merchandising, cash handling, and compliance procedures
5. Contribute to planning and execution of promotions and seasonal campaigns
6. Step into the Store Manager role when required, ensuring smooth operations
7. Foster a culture where team members feel valued, included, and empowered
Skills & Experience:
8. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead position within high volume retail – Grocery, non-food or fashion all considered
9. A hands-on, energetic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment
10. Strong organisational, decision-making, and communication skills
11. A proven ability to motivate teams and deliver strong store performance
12. A genuine passion for retail, customer experience, and team development
