Specialist Child Psychologist Wanted

We are seeking an experienced child psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team, working on a flexible schedule that suits your availability. As a contractor with us, you will have the autonomy to manage your own clinical work while collaborating closely within a team of professionals.

* Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations for children referred through various channels
* Collaborating with other clinicians to determine outcomes and participating in regular meetings to present findings and recommendations
* Overseeing the feedback process and holding responsibility for the final sign-off of the Summary Report


About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team, providing specialist child psychology services to individuals and families. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering interventions to support the mental health and wellbeing of children.

You will also contribute to the development of new policies and procedures, ensuring that our services are evidence-based and aligned with best practice standards.


Key Responsibilities:

* Conducting initial consultations and assessments to identify client needs and develop treatment plans
* Delivering evidence-based interventions to support client progress and achievement of goals
* Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, including progress notes and treatment plans
* Participating in regular team meetings to discuss client progress and address any challenges or concerns
* Contributing to the development of new policies and procedures to ensure continuous quality improvement


Requirements:

* A university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject
* An Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology Or An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health
* Demonstrate expertise in working with children with disabilities, along with a strong understanding of interdisciplinary collaboration and family-centred practice
* Proven ability to support individuals with Autism
* Prior experience conducting Assessment of Need (AON) evaluations
* A strong team player with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
