General responsibilities
* To ensure the hotel achieves the Leading Hotels of the World Quality Assurance targets and that the highest standards of luxury and quality delivered consistently to our guests
* To comply with the Health & Safety regulations of the hotel
* To have strong product knowledge of all areas of the hotel
Specific duties
* To be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special
* To be knowledgeable and informed about the introduction of products.
* To carry out cleaning as required.
* To liaise with other departments to ensure that all guest requests are attended to efficiently.
* To ensure that section is set up for service.
* To follow all departmental sops
* To ensure food quality is checked and managed
* To support sections to ensure the team are cooking the dishes to the agreed standard, checking quality, flavour, seasoning and presentation
* To keep to the LQA standards for food orders, ensure the team are working, quick, safe and focused
* To identify areas that we can improve the food quality and guest experience
* To assist in fridge management, stock rotation and food cost management
* To support teaching of the junior team members cooking skills and techniques
What are we looking for?
* Ability to multitask and prioritize is important
* Ability to work in a busy kitchen
* Possess a good knowledge of HACCP
