Role OverviewWe are seeking a proactiveHealth & Safety Adviserwith a minimum of 2 years' experience in Ireland across commercial and residential construction projects. In this dual-focused role, the successful candidate will manage both health & safety responsibilities and the upkeep of office and site facilities, ensuring all internal and external spaces are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Additionally, the role includes First Aider and Fire Warden responsibilities, supporting a safe and compliant workplace culture.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation, construction regulations, and company policies.Risk Assessments: Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and carry out risk assessments across commercial and residential projects.Training & Induction: Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety training sessions to staff and contractors.Incident Management: Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices, producing reports and recommending corrective actions.Documentation: Maintain accurate safety records, including safety statements, method statements, and risk registers.Facilities Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and appearance of internal and external office spaces to ensure safety and functionality.On-site Inspections: Monitor site safety standards and working conditions, ensuring compliance and best practices.Cleaning Standards: Coordinate and maintain cleaning across all premises, liaising with contractors or staff as required.Emergency Preparedness: Serve as the company's First Aider and Fire Warden, ensuring readiness for medical or fire-related incidents.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to embed and maintain safety and facilities best practices.Qualifications & SkillsExperience: Minimum 2 years' health & safety advisory experience in Ireland, covering both commercial and residential construction projects.Education: Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.Certifications: Relevant third-level qualification; IOSH certification preferred but not essential.Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish health & safety legislation, construction regulations, and industry standards.Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with safety and facilities management systems is a plus.Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and collaborative approach.To hear more about this position or to discuss your suitability to please reach out to Nisha for a confidential chat on or email your CV to Your CV will not be sent to any third party without your consent.By applying here you agree to RECRUITERS storing your CV in our secure applicant tracking system (ATS; Bullhorn).
