Positive Carbon is making food waste visible. We build AI-powered IoT sensors and software that track food waste in commercial kitchens, giving hospitality groups, corporate dining, and contract caterers the data they need to cut waste, save money, and hit sustainability targets.
We're a team of 8 that moves like a team of 80. If you're studying marketing and want to learn what it actually looks like inside a high-growth climate tech company, not from a textbook, this is it.
Tasks
This is a hands-on learning role where you'll get stuck into real digital marketing and social media work from day one. You'll work directly alongside the founder, learning how a B2B brand is built from the ground up, from content strategy and social media to analytics and campaign thinking. You'll have real tasks with real impact, but you'll also have the support and mentorship to develop your skills as you go.
What You'll Learn & Do
* Social media in practice — Help plan, draft, and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, and X. You'll learn what works in B2B social (and why it's different from consumer brands) and start developing an instinct for what makes people stop scrolling.
* Content creation — Get hands-on with writing posts, creating simple graphics and short videos, and summarising customer stories. We'll help you develop your writing voice and visual skills using tools like Canva or CapCut.
* Strategy and analytics — Learn how to read social media metrics, understand what the numbers actually mean, and use data to shape what you do next. You'll help track performance and contribute to content planning.
* Brand building — See how a brand voice and visual identity are developed as a company scales internationally. Positive Carbon operates across English, Dutch, Chinese, and Arabic markets, you'll get exposure to what that looks like in practice.
* Campaign support — Help with email marketing, newsletters, and ad hoc marketing projects as they come up. Every week looks a little different.
* Experimentation, Try things. Test formats, posting times, hooks, and creative approaches. Some will work, some won't — that's the point.
Requirements
What We're Looking For

* Decent writing skills and a willingness to improve them — you don't need to be a copywriter yet
* Comfortable creating simple visual content (even if you're still learning the tools)
* Curious and proactive — you'll ask questions, pitch ideas, and take initiative
* Interest in sustainability, food systems, or climate tech is a bonus
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
Benefits
What You'll Get
* A real education in B2B digital marketing — not theory, not coffee runs
* Direct mentorship from the founder — no layers, no waiting for feedback
* A portfolio of published, real-world work by the end of your six months
* Exposure to international brand building across multiple markets and languages
* Paid internship with hybrid flexibility in Dublin
* A genuine reference and career springboard in climate tech
