Trinity College Dublin- an introduction Post Summary The Department of Political Science, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy, are seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in International Politics, with a start date of 3 August ****.
We are looking for applicants with vision and enthusiasm, a genuine commitment to both research and teaching, and a demonstrated ability to engage students with innovative teaching methods.
The successful candidate should have a proven research record, relative to career stage, with clear potential for further contributions to the field of political science.
Post Status: 5 Year Fixed Term, Tenure Track Department/Faculty: School of Social Sciences and Philosophy, Department of Political Science Location: Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin, College Green, Dublin 2, Ireland Reports to: Head of Discipline and Head of School Salary: Appointment will be made on Assistant Professor Salary Scale (109) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy [€42,925 - € 102,556 per annum] Hours of Work : Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.

2. Full curriculum vitae to include the names and contact details of 3 referees,
3. Research statement (summarising current research and future research plans) – 2 x A4 pages maximum
4. Teaching statement (summarising teaching experience and approach – 2 x A4 pages maximum)
5. Writing sample.
Applicants are asked to submit one writing sample that best represents their scholarly work to date.
This may be a published article, a dissertation chapter, a working paper, or a work-in-progress.
We recognise that early-career scholars are at different stages of the publication process; therefore, unpublished or developing work is fully welcomed.
The writing sample should demonstrate the applicant's research potential, methodological rigour, and contribution to their field of study.
