Part-time Chef Position
We are seeking a skilled part-time chef to join our team. This role is ideal for students or individuals seeking flexible hours.
About the Role:
1. Culinary Expertise: Prepare food items as directed, ensuring high-quality presentation and timely completion.
2. Recipe Adherence: Follow recipes and presentation specifications to meet our standards.
3. Kitchen Equipment: Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
4. Cleanliness: Maintain a clean working station while adhering to health & safety standards.
5. Organization: Assist with cleaning and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
6. Restocking: Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
7. Food Safety: Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards.
Requirements:
1. Culinary Qualification: Formal Culinary Qualification (Minimum Level 6).
2. Chef Experience: Previous experience as a chef or cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
3. Restaurant Experience: Full-service restaurant kitchen experience is highly desirable.
4. Pressure Management: Ability to adapt to high-pressure situations in a busy kitchen.
5. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
6. Certifications: Manual Handling and HACCP certificates (courses can be provided). Own transport required.
