Our client is the National Museum in Ireland, who are currently looking for a Procurement Executive Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. The role will provide administrative assistance to the museum's finance and procurement function for a 1-year period. During this period, the Museum's Finance and procurement function will be focused on a number of major projects.Your new role
Reporting to the Procurement Officer, the Procurement EO will support the Procurement Officer with day-to-day administrative tasks, advising on, overseeing and occasionally holding the below-threshold procurement competitions.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Preparation and drafting of notification letters, evaluation sheets and other procurement documentation;
2. Assist in the preparation of above-threshold procurement competitions for publication;
3. Being a primary point of contact for minor procurement queries;
4. Encouraging procurement compliance with procedure as well as the procedures outlined in existing framework agreements;
5. Overseeing and the holding of (where necessary) below-threshold procurement competitions;
6. Examining above-threshold tender response document selection criteria and escalating issues/identifying the need for clarification;

What you'll need to succeed
The Procurement Executive Officer must be able to demonstrate a high level of organisational skills and attention to detail.For the successful implementation of this role, there are a number of key relationships to be fostered and developed. These will be with personnel from within the Management team and colleagues in the Finance Division.As a staff member, the holder of the post will be expected to actively contribute to and participate in the overall development of the Museum and to promote its policies at all times and to adhere to their values.
