Job title Senior Recruitment Consultant Architectural & Building Services (Mechanical & Electrical Contract) Home Based (Ireland) About the role We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant to lead our specialist Architectural and Technical Engineering desk in Ireland, with a primary focus on Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services (M&E / MEP) contractors.Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.You will operate on a fully remote basis from anywhere in Ireland, managing the full 360 recruitment lifecycle for contract and temporary assignments with leading M&E contractors, consulting engineers and main contractors.The base salary is circa €55,000 plus an attractive, uncapped commission structure, reflecting a senior, high-performing consultant level in the Irish market.Key responsibilities Build, manage and grow a high-performing 360 contract desk in Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services engineering across Ireland.Develop new business and deepen existing relationships with M&E contractors, building services consultancies, multidisciplinary practices, main contractors and end-clients.Take detailed contract job briefs, advising hiring managers on day rates, margins, compliance, IR35-equivalent considerations (where relevant), and market availability of skills.Source, attract and headhunt contractors using job boards, Linked In, databases, networking, industry groups and referrals.Qualify and screen contractors for technical competence (M&E / MEP / building services), project experience (data centres, pharma, commercial, industrial, residential, etc.), and site/remote availability.Prepare contractor shortlists, coordinate interviews, manage client and candidate expectations and oversee the process through offer, onboarding and extension.Actively manage a live contractor book: renewals, extensions, rate reviews, compliance documentation and ongoing relationship management.Provide consultative market insight to clients and contractors on demand trends, typical day rates, project pipelines and skills shortages in Irelands building services and construction sectors.Maintain accurate activity, pipeline and financial data on the CRM/ATS and produce regular forecasts on contractor numbers, margins and revenue.Work effectively from home, self-managing your time, priorities and client/contractor meetings (virtual and on-site where required).Candidate profile Proven experience (35+ years) as a Recruitment Consultant in Ireland, specifically within: Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, MEP or wider construction/technical engineering recruitment, and A strong bias towards contract/interim recruitment rather than purely permanent.Demonstrable track record of building and managing a profitable contractor book, including margin management, renewals and client development.Strong understanding of typical building services and M&E roles (e.g.Building Services Engineer, Mechanical/Electrical Engineer, MEP Coordinator, BIM/Revit Technician, Site Supervisor, Project Engineer).Confident in business development: prospecting, client visits (when required), proposals, PSL/tender participation and commercial negotiation.Comfortable discussing Irish construction and engineering markets, major project types (data centres, pharma, commercial, public sector) and associated contractor skill sets.Highly organised, self-motivated and disciplined, with proven success working autonomously or remotely.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a professional, consultative style.Strong IT literacy, including use of CRM/ATS, major job boards, Linked In Recruiter and video-meeting tools.Requirements Minimum 3 years agency recruitment experience, including substantial time running a contract/temporary desk in construction, engineering, architectural or M&E recruitment in Ireland.Proven track record of consistent billings and contractor book growth.Ability to work from a home office with reliable broadband and a professional environment.Full right to work in Ireland and full driving licence preferred (for occasional client and site visits).Package and benefits Base salary circa €55,000 depending on experience, plus uncapped commission on personal billings and contractor margins, positioning this as a senior-level role in the Irish market.Fully remote role anywhere in Ireland with flexible working hours (core hours to be agreed).Comprehensive toolkit: CRM/ATS, job boards, Linked In licence, VOIP/Teams/Zoom, and marketing support.
