Toolmaker.
In this role you will be responsible for producing high-quality tooling and undertaking daily machinery maintenance. Utilizing CNC Milling machines, EDM Wiring Erosion Machine, surface grinders, lathes and other conventional machine tools, you will manufacture parts to specifications defined in SolidWorks drawings.
Responsibilities:
• Interpret and verify SolidWorks drawings, sketches or specifications to fabricate machined parts or assemblies.
• Collaborate with customers within the automation department and production to optimize design and manufacture of parts or modifications to existing parts.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications and quality requirements.
• Proficiency in operation of CNC Milling machine, EDM Wiring Erosion Machine, surface grinders, lathes and other conventional machine tools.
• Prepare parts for anodising.
• Assist the designer in the assembly of machine parts to verify fit and function.
• Working within the automation team, perform mechanical assembly during machine build.
• Responsible for daily machinery maintenance within the toolroom.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
• Experienced Toolmaker with at least 3-5 years' experience.
• Competent in 3D CAM software and CNC machinery.
• Experience in interpreting technical drawings is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills both written and oral.
• Ability to work on own initiative; highly motivated.
• Level 6 Advanced Cert in Craft & Toolmaking.
