Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for an Account Handler within our Operations Team. In this role, you will service a commercial portfolio of customers and provide end-to-end servicing to a panel of mid-large customers. This role is pivotal to retaining profitable existing business and generating new business where possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide ongoing servicing to existing clients and closely manage relationships throughout the renewal cycle to ensure retention of the account. Communicate strategically with customers as required.
* Analyze customer needs, identify opportunities to strengthen their risk management structures, and cross-sell where possible.
* Market and present customer accounts to insurers and negotiate premiums on their behalf.
* Collect and submit additional information required by underwriters and follow up to ensure risk placement.
* Input all information accurately into Applied Relay and maintain clear file notes.
* Monitor business figures and ensure collection of monies due.
* Attend customer meetings with the Sales team and provide subject matter expertise.
* Lead and participate in business projects as they arise.
* Stay informed about insurer appetites and marketplace activity.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and company procedures and ethics.
Desired Skills And Attributes
* 3+ years’ experience in commercial broking or relevant insurance experience.
* Good knowledge of commercial insurance products across various markets, including Property, Business Interruption, Liability, Motor, Professional Indemnity, Management Liability, and Cyber Insurance.
* Qualifications such as APA or CIP are preferred.
* Understanding of the regulatory and legal environment and knowledge of client industries.
* Proven track record in customer account management and retention.
