It comprises of some beautiful period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Café, much loved by Dubliner's for decades.
The Fleet Hotel is synonymous with local Dublin history, before becoming the Fleet Hotel, 19/20 Fleet Street was home to Bewley's Café which was established by Ernest Bewley in 1905.
Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliner's for generations.Role ResponsibilitiesReports to: General Manager / Revenue Manager Main Purpose of Job: The Reservations Supervisor will help plan, manage, organise and control the Reservations department on a day basis, to ensure the smooth and efficient operations in the department through prompt, efficient reservations service to achieve maximum room revenue in order to meet or exceed the revenue targets.Organise and manage the day to day operations of the reservations department overseeing all revenue streams.Monitor and coordinate group reservations in conjunction with the General Manager & Revenue Manager.Liaise with the housekeeping department as required, ensuring inventory is up to date prior to guest arrival. Have full working knowledge of hotel reservation systems.Work closely with the General Manager & Revenue Manager aiming to achieve budgets and forecasts for each segment.
Working towards the strategy as set out by the Revenue Manager.Review no shows and cancellations and process charges according to the hotel policyDue to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel which can include day, evening or Saturdays.To have a thorough knowledge of and adherence to the law with regard to the following company regulations: - Fire regulations and procedures - Health and safety regulations.Use discretion when dealing with guest at all times, adhering to GDPR rules & regulations.To ensure that all standards and procedures comply with the Finance Dept requirements.To be fully conversant on all aspects of HotSoft.
Prior Working Knowledge of HotSoft/Opera is advantageous.To be fully aware of all types of bedrooms & suites, all their facilities and locations in the Hotel.Assist in rate configuration where necessary.Work closely with the front office manager and reception team as required. Manage and ensure resolution of all guest issues and provide training to all new employees for all policies and procedures. About The RoleRequirementsMinimum 2 + Years' experience as a reservation's supervisor or in a similar role in the 4/5-star marketComputer literacy – word, excelProven track record.Professional Telephone etiquetteA good mathematical skill baseGood organisational skills.Strong team playerExcellent communication skills both written and verbal.Positive attitude, cheerful and courteous demeanour.Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure.
