The Homecare Supervisor plays a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of high-quality care services. This individual is responsible for planning and implementing initial homecare assessments and care plans with prospective service users.
Key aspects of this position include:
* Collaborating with a team to ensure optimal service levels are maintained
* Developing and implementing initiatives that cater to the needs of prospect service users requiring managed solutions
* Orienting and supervising new staff members as needed
* Delivering assessment protocols to meet established standards
* Maintaining accurate documentation on service users' care provision
* Conducting regular client visits to review updates, deliver services, and gather feedback
* Carrying out checks and completing client and staff feedback forms
* Monitoring client satisfaction
* Preparing for and participating in HSE and internal audits
This role involves working within a regional team and traveling throughout CHO 5, which encompasses various counties in Ireland. The successful candidate will also attend meetings with the HSE and other stakeholders as required.
Requirements
To excel in this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
* A full QQI Level 5 award in Healthcare Support (required), with a Level 6 award being desirable
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential
* A valid, clean driving license and access to personal transportation are necessary
* Proof of current certification in mandatory courses such as Patient Moving & Handling and CPR
* Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and strong written and oral communication skills
* A high level of attention to detail and proficiency in basic IT systems are also required
