Through this role, you will ensure CEL continue to enhance our reputation for building the best quality switchgear with support systems that exceed our customer expectations.Role OverviewReporting to the Electrical Design Manager, the CEL Project Engineer - Production Support role is to provide a seamless, efficient and technically competent interface between the CEL Engineering Department and the CEL Production Department.What You\'ll Be DoingBe the main point of contact for the Production Department to interface with the wider engineering teamReview and provide answers to technical queries from the production department in relation to the engineering designsWork with the engineering team to resolve outstanding queries from productionAttend all production related meetings on behalf of the engineering teamAttend the engineering weekly meetings to report on current issuesAssist with reviews of new designsAssist with implementation of continuous improvements to the technical designs on an ongoing basisAssist with closing out and creating improvements to raised NCRsManage the creation of projects on ACC, ensuring that all input data is correct at the start of the projectResponsible for ensuring that all engineering provided documentation to the Production Department are the latest versions on ACCOther responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time, to ensure an efficient interface to the Engineering DepartmentRequirementsA Bachelor degree in Electrical EngineeringAlternatively, a time served electrician with strong low voltage switchgear assembly experience will be considered for this roleAdditional training in power systems or switchgear design is advantageousStrong understanding of IEC standards applicable to switchgear (e.g., IEC 61439)Knowledge of Form of Separation and internal segregation requirementsUnderstanding of electrical protection principles and power distribution systemsFamiliarity with MCCs, Package Substations, RPPS systems, and custom LV assembliesUnderstanding of industry best practices in panel design and safety complianceKey CompetenciesRelevant experience (3-5 years) in electrical design within the switchgear or power distribution industryStrong technical interpretation skills for specifications and tender documentsGood understanding of electrical component selection and integrationProficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word)Strong attention to detail and structured engineering approachAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong communication skillsSelf-motivated and capable of working independentlyBenefitsWhy Join CEL Critical Power?
