About the Role
Working hours are 11 pm - 7 am, 5 days out of 7 – 39 hour contract
Seeking candidates currently working as an Assistant Night Manager, Night Auditor, or Receptionist Supervisor who want to advance their career
Assistant Night Manager assists in the night-hour supervision of the Front Office Team to ensure Team Members are prepared and well-informed to deliver Guests an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out
Responsibilities
Oversee Front Office operation to maintain high standards
Assist the Front Office Manager to evaluate Guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends, focusing on continuous improvement
Act as a point of contact for regular and important Guests
Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use upselling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
Ensure correct procedures for accepting foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy
Represent the Night Manager and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel
Execute all security and emergency procedures and manage their instigation as required
Compile adequate handover to Early staff / Duty Manager
Attend required training courses and assist with the Night Team's training and development efforts
Demonstrate current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area
Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front-of-house equipment and property management systems
Conduct Health and Safety checks and Night Walks
Maintain awareness of all hotel areas
Assist Night Porter with daily duties
Qualifications
At least 1 + year experience in Front Office, preferably within the hotel, leisure or retail sector.
Competent level of IT proficiency
Excellent leadership and management skills
Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
Positive attitude and good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
