Mason Technology has grown to become one of Ireland’s leading suppliers of Laboratory and Industrial equipment with global partnerships with leading manufacturers.Contract: PermanentThe RoleMason Technology is seeking to recruit an Analytical Field Service Engineer for our Shimadzu Service Team based in the Munster region on a full-time permanent contract.This role will involve working as part of Shimadzu Technical Support Team with overall responsibility for the testing, repair, and calibration of Shimadzu & Biotek instrumentation products and modules to maintain functionality and accuracy.The position is Munster based with a requirement to travel countrywide when necessary.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesCommissioning, repair and installation of Shimadzu and BioTek equipmentService and ValidationPreventative Maintenance and Breakdown CoverIntegral member of the Service TeamQualifications, Knowledge and Skills RequiredA recognised course completed in electrical/instrumentation/mechanical engineering.Previous experience of Chromatography, Spectrophotometry, Atomic Absorption and TOC an advantage.Previous experience in a similar technical role is essential.Experience of working within Quality systems such as ISO, INAB etcExperience of working within Regulatory systems such as FDA, EUP, UKP, HPRA etc.Strong technical knowledge of analytical instrumentation.Ability to fault find and repair laboratory equipment.A good knowledge of related industry products and tools.Full clean driving licence is essential.Travel is a key element of the role and overnight stays are required.What’s Important to UsThe successful candidate must be willing to work as part of team and off one’s own initiativeProactive and self-motivatedAn individual with strong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft OfficeExcellent attention to detailStrong organisational skills and the ability to multi-taskHighly motivated, confident, resilient, and positive attitude
