Meet the team The Communications, Marketing, Social and Events team brings RTÉ's purpose to life through storytelling, brand experiences and audience engagement across every platform. We are looking for an experienced Senior Event Lead to design and deliver strategic, high-impact events that connect, engage and inspire audiences across Ireland. Reporting to the Brand and Marketing Manager, you will lead RTÉ's event strategy and calendar – collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver creative, audience-focused experiences that reflect RTÉ's role as Ireland's national public service media organisation. About the role:Lead the strategic planning, design and delivery of RTÉ's annual event calendar, ensuring alignment with organisational and audience prioritiesCollaborate with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure events are strategically aligned, well-coordinated and delivered to the highest standardDevelop and deliver creative and experiential event concepts that engage diverse audiences across IrelandManage budgets, procurement and supplier relationships to ensure value, efficiency and qualityOversee all phases of event execution, including programming, scheduling, logistics, health and safety, production and post-event evaluationProduce and oversee detailed technical documentation, such as site plans, security protocols, running orders and technical schedules, ensuring full compliance with child protection, health and safety, and risk management standardsChampion creativity, inclusivity, accessibility and sustainability in every event, using evaluation and audience insights to inform future planning and innovationSupport managers in identifying and scoping new event opportunities that align with RTÉ's strategic goalsDrive the use of digital innovation at events to enhance experiences and extend RTÉ's reach beyond the physical event spaceAbout you:Minimum 5 years' experience leading complex, large-scale events (media, cultural or public sector experience desirable)Strong background in end-to-end event management – from strategy and concept development to delivery and evaluationProven stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence at all levelsDemonstrated budget management and supplier negotiation experienceCreative thinker with a passion for audience engagement and attention to detailCollaborative, adaptable and calm under pressure, with excellent project management and organisational skillsNice to have:Experience working within a public service or media environmentUnderstanding of broadcast and cross-platform brand activationsExperience integrating digital or hybrid event technologies to enhance audience reach and engagementStrong supplier or agency network within Ireland's events or cultural sectorIf you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your CV together with a cover letter outlining your interest and alignment to the role requirements.
