Navio Ltd currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Supervisor to join our team.
The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of mechanical systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems meet stringent requirements, ensuring that works are carried out to a high standard.
Responsibilities
Safety
Ensuring the Safety & Health of all persons working on or visiting the site.
Actively promote compliance with the Construction Health and Safety plan.
Review contractors' method statements, SPAs, and permit applications and provide feedback to ensure all risks have been assessed and appropriate control measures put in place to execute the works safely.
Participate in weekly Safety/Co-ordination meetings.
Scope
Be fully familiar with the contract scope, technical documentation package, contract price details and fabrication/supply/construction programme.
Co-ordination
Monitor the day-to-day site activities of the Contractors, to ensure they complete their contracts in terms of safety, quality, schedule, cost and documentation.
Be fully informed on planned activities, work methods and resources.
Participate in weekly Coordination Meetings.
Quality
Carry out daily inspections of the works to ensure the required standards are achieved.
Track and review all contractors' technical RFI's, submittals, purchases etc and refer to a Contracts manager for input / resolution / approvals.
Provide information to the document controller so that status reports are up-to-date and accurate.
Commercial
Be familiar with the contents of the contract, pricing agreement and scope of work.
Advise Contracts Manager in relation to any field variations, scope changes or potential additional costs.
Ensure that any correspondence received from contractors which may have a contractual significance (e.g. cost, quality, schedule) is copied to the Contracts Manager.
QEHS Management System Responsibilities
Comply with Navio's Quality, Environment and Health & Safety Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required.
Understand and apply our QEHS policy statements in all aspects of your work.
Contribute towards achieving Navio's QEHS objectives.
Ensure that the needs and requirements of Navio's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.
Help develop and improve Navio's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.

Education
Additional Professional Qualifications in Engineering or Construction/Project Management desirable but not essential.
Licenses and Certificates
Full clean Irish drivers licence.
Safe Pass.
Experience
At least 5 years' experience in the management of large-scale construction projects and multi-disciplinary construction teams.
Experience in the promoting and ensuring exemplary standards of health and safety on large-scale projects.
