About your new job as an Electrical Design Engineer: You will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop detailed electrical designs for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants across both municipal and industrial environments. This position offers the option of a hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
Carry out investigations and produce reports on the electrical condition of multiple sites
Review and assess client specifications
Prepare detailed electrical technical designs and project submissions
Collaborate with clients to define and agree on scope of works
Develop designs, proposals, and cost estimates
Design electrical distribution systems, including single line diagrams and load schedules
Produce instrumentation designs, covering selection, termination details, and cabling requirements
Prepare cable calculations and schedules
Coordinate with internal teams such as design, contracts, control, and automation
Act as a point of contact and liaise with clients as required
Update and interpret panel schematics and wiring diagrams
Prepare control philosophies for projects
Ensure all work complies with IS, EN, BS, and IEC standards
What skill/experience you need
Knowledge of Water and Wastewater treatment industry preferable
Be able to read and redline Electrical drawings and Schematics.
Excellent understanding of current Electrical Regulations and Standards.
Be able to read drawings including P&ID's and layout drawings.
Strong engineering, analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working knowledge of CAD an advantage but not essential
