Our work supports the wellbeing of 233,000 residents, and as an IS Analyst you will play a key role in enhancing, supporting and developing the technologies that enable efficient, user‑focused public services across the county.
What is an IS Analyst?
An IS Analyst helps design, maintain and improve the Council’s information systems, technical infrastructure and digital services. Working across a diverse range of technologies, you will support critical ICT operations, lead or contribute to technical projects, provide expertise in areas such as security, business intelligence, data analytics, applications, networking and data, and help ensure staff and systems can operate effectively and securely.
The role is dynamic, varied and essential to the delivery of high‑quality public services. IS Analysts are expected to adapt to evolving ICT needs, collaborate across departments, and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement.
We are looking for someone with:
A recognised qualification in a computing discipline and relevant experience
Strong ICT aptitude and practical technical knowledge.
Understanding of IT architecture, systems development and service delivery.
Logical, analytical problem‑solving skills.
Knowledge of IT security standards and best practice
