Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer in Zoology at the University of Galway. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will primarily teach and examine undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Zoology, with opportunities to contribute to other biology-related courses within the School of Natural Sciences. Responsibilities may include developing new course modules and managing existing ones, as well as administrative duties related to modules and programmes.
The ideal candidate should have expertise in evolutionary biology, including ecological genetics, some knowledge of entomology or honeybee biology, and be able to contribute to basic botany or environmental science topics. The position is based in the Zoology group within the Earth and Life Sciences department, which also includes the Botany/Plant Science & Environmental Science Group and the Earth and Ocean Science group.
The appointee should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be willing to collaborate with colleagues locally, nationally, and internationally.
