You'll manage external consultants, review technical submissions, and work closely with internal teams to ensure designs meet operational, safety, cost, and schedule requirements.Electrical Design Engineer : Based onsite supporting multiple construction projects, 5 days per weekMechanical Design Engineer : Based fully onsite in Dublin, 5 days per weekOffice space, tools, computational resources, and engineering support are fully provided.What You'll Do:Support design activities for critical infrastructure on new-build data centre projects across EMEAManage and coordinate external design consultancy firmsReview and approve technical and equipment submittalsDefine project scopes and support construction-phase activitiesCollaborate with internal teams to understand user and operational requirementsTroubleshoot design-related issues and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions (CA)Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify appropriate equipmentTravel for site reviews, engineering evaluations, audits, and site launchesParticipate in knowledge-sharing and adoption of internal engineering standardsBring a positive mindset and propose creative, practical, out-of-the-box solutionsElectrical Design Engineer – Additional FocusDesign and review electrical systems for mission-critical facilitiesSupport power distribution, redundancy, and resilience strategiesEnsure constructability and compliance with regional codes and standardsSupport commissioning activities and design handoverElectrical – Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)Experience with data centre electrical systems or other mission-critical facilitiesKnowledge of regional building codes and regulationsExperience with commissioning activitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office toolsElectrical – Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) or equivalentExperience in data centres, power generation, oil & gas, or industrial facilitiesContractor negotiation and design/build project experienceAbility to carry design concepts from early development through deploymentStrong experience reading and producing construction drawings and specificationsMechanical Design Engineer – Additional FocusDesign and review HVAC and mechanical systems for data centresSupport cooling strategies, equipment selection, and thermal performanceApply constructability and operational considerations to design solutionsMechanical – Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or related field)5+ years' experience in HVAC, data centre cooling, electronics cooling, or building servicesExperience developing new mechanical design concepts through constructionStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to justify technical decisions through sound business case analysisMechanical – Preferred QualificationsChartered Engineer and/or Master's degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience with mission-critical facilities (data centres, hospitals, pharma, semiconductor)Knowledge of BIM and CFD modellingExperience managing consultants and fast-track design/build projectsFamiliarity with large-scale technical operations and applicable building codesA Day in the LifeYou'll act as ahands-on technical problem solver, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to translate complex requirements into buildable, resilient designs.
