Job Description:
As a Facilities Supervisor at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring flawless operations of our facilities and support the company's mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will be responsible for direct supervision of maintenance mechanics, planning and scheduling all maintenance and preventative maintenance activities, generating work orders, tracking progress, and ensuring completion. Additionally, you will coordinate and implement daily work schedules, prioritize tasks, and dispatch personnel.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise maintenance mechanics and ensure they meet contract specifications
* Plan and schedule all maintenance and preventative maintenance activities

* Create and put into effect strategies to address specific issues concerning the operation of plant and equipment
* Deliver technical aid and instruction to ensure alignment with cGMP guidelines and procedures
* Identify, review, and approve purchases of equipment, spare parts, and services
* Schedule and direct contractors for repairs and order spare and replacement parts
* Coordinate key sustainability projects
* Ensure that all facilities and services meet contract specifications and are delivered efficiently
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must have a proven experience in a decision-making supervisory role, outstanding skills in planning, scheduling, and prioritizing tasks, skilled at formulating and putting into effect action plans, proficient in providing support and mentorship in adhering to regulations, ability to coordinate and manage contractors and vendors, excellent communication and leadership abilities, strict adherence to safety and regulatory compliance, Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Facilities, or related field), proven facilities experience, preferably in a regulated environment, strong understanding of HVAC, cleanroom, utilities (plumbing, compressed air, gases, electrical), and building management systems, knowledge of GMP and relevant EHS regulations, and proven management or supervisory skills.
