Job Description
The successful candidate will have a crucial role in shaping the future of our cities and environments by delivering integrated design solutions for complex water infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities include designing and delivering water and wastewater schemes at various project stages, from feasibility to detailed design, contract document preparation, and construction administration following relevant design standards and codes.
You will also prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals, work closely with teams in Ireland and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions, manage projects or support the Project Manager in the management and monitoring of project delivery within defined budget and programme requirements.
Additionally, you will understand, communicate, and manage project risks, adhere to quality assurance standards in design, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
* a Chartered Civil Engineer qualification
* experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and Design & Build
* sound knowledge in water and/or wastewater treatment, storage solutions, hydraulics, water supply, and wastewater collection systems and familiarity with current Ireland design standards and working practices
* sound commercial, contractual, and programme experience
* ability to work within a team environment and under own initiative to achieve project goals
* ability to communicate effectively
