Job Description
We are excited to invite a passionate leader to join our Manufacturing Science & Technology team at our cutting-edge facility in Dublin. This role is key to advancing the development and lifecycle management of biologics, supporting both clinical and commercial supply.
As Associate Director, you will lead and inspire a talented team of scientists working on upstream, downstream, media, and solution preparation processes. You will guide technical studies, problem-solving, and investigations to ensure efficient and high-quality execution. Your leadership will help the team innovate and improve biologics processes, driving cost-effective and scalable solutions.
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:
* Lead, coach, and mentor the bioprocess teams to reach their full potential.
* Provide technical oversight of biologics pipeline development and scale-down models.
* Drive process investigations, risk assessments, and material qualification.
* Support new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Foster innovation by collaborating with academia, industry partners, and vendors.
* Represent the team as a bioprocess expert in cross-functional projects and conferences.
* Contribute to regulatory documentation and submissions.
* Assist with laboratory budgeting and performance reviews.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
* Advanced degree (Ph.D., Master’s, or Bachelor’s) in Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or related field, with significant industry experience (Ph.D. 6+ years, Master’s 8+ years, Bachelor’s 10+ years).
* Proven ability to coach and develop diverse teams.
* Strong expertise in biologics bioprocessing, regulatory requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Experience delivering projects with a focus on lean operations and laboratory efficiency.
* Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex scientific concepts and influence decision-making.
